Stamp my passport! The Palau archipelago, located in the Pacific, is composed of 21,000 inhabitants and annually receives 8 times its population due to tourism. What’s the result? The number of waste “misplaced” increases, nature is trampled & polluted. In order to preserve the archipelago, Palau’s children have made, in partnership with the Australian agency HostHavas, an environmental charter. Stamped and signed in the passport, the tourist undertakes to respect it; unless he prefers to pay a fine of up to $1 million. Flyers, signs, and pictograms have been designed and displayed to develop eco-friendly behavior. You have a green soul and respect the corals too? So, go on their nice website and sign an online petition to share your support here:
“The only footprints I shall leave are those that will wash away (by the sea)”.
Interesting fact: this advertising has won 3 prestigious Gold Lions in Cannes this year (it’s like the Oscars but for the advertising world).
